Nord 2 by SMOK might look identical to the original Nord device but that's where the similarities stop!
The original was one of the most popular pod systems in 2019 and here in 2020 the SMOK Nord 2 looks set to take the world by storm. With massive upgrades in every department Nord 2 is the future of pod vaping.
Under the familiar chassis is an integrated 1500mAh battery which is 400mAh more than the Nord in capacity but a huge increase in power from 15W to 40W max, which rivals both the RPM40 and Fetch Mini kits from SMOK!
The Nord 2 keeps its simplicity in design with a single firing button but upgraded with a 0.69" OLED screen that displays the variable wattage setting, the Ohm reading, voltage setting and battery life.
To activate the device it's the familiar five clicks and hold down to vape, but with this edition, you can adjust the wattage by pressing the button three times, then hold down to cycle through the numbers until you reach the wattage you prefer. Once you have your wattage, simply release your finger and your setting will be confirmed by flashing twice.
The airflow is situated in the same position as the Nord but with larger openings to cater for the increased power output. Another simple but effective adjustment is the pod connection mechanism which now clips into place rather than the old magnetic version, making it feel sturdy and snug.
Each kit includes two pods. An RPM Pod (RPM 0.4Ohm Mesh Coil preinstalled) which is compatible with the RPM coil range and a Nord Pod (Nord Dual 0.8Ohm MTL Coil preinstalled) compatible the replacement Nord coil. That's 12 coil options to choose from and includes the RPM RBA coils for DIY vaping.
With the usual curved mouthpiece, Nord 2 is no different from its predecessors like the Novo, but the Nord 2 comes complete with an increased pod cartridge capacity of 4.5ml making it, even more, user-friendly. It also utilizes the Nord and RPM coils which we've come to know and love for their flavor and vapor production with both vape juice and nic salts.
The one slight downside to this model is the loss of the vape juice window in the mouthpiece, but with the increased capacity, hopefully, you'll need to re-fill less frequently.
One of the biggest upgrades is the addition of the IQ-N chip making it a smarter device and with the increased battery size, the Nord 2 should last users the day after a full charge. The coil resistance is automatically detected by the advanced chipset which adjusts the settings accordingly so you don't have to. The Chipset also protects against short circuits, low voltage and features an 8-second safety cutoff.

To install your Nautilus AIO coil, remove the chimney unit from the base of the Nautilus pod, unscrew the old coil, replace it with a new one and twist the chimney unit back into your pod.
